3 days Fes to Marrakech tour description:
- Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Middle Atlas – Merzouga Desert.
3 days from Fes to Marrakech desert trip departure: Our English-speaking private driver will come to meet us at our accommodation around 8:00 AM, then start to drive towards the Middle Atlas on the way to Ifrane city “The Switzerland of Morocco”. We then approach the Cedar Forest of Azrou where we can find the Berber Apes and take some photos. After some time, we can continue our Private tour 1st journey toward the Middle Atlas enjoying the views of the forests and mountains.
Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant, and continue our tour towards the desert of Morocco by crossing the Palm grove of Ziz with its palm and olive trees. Upon our arrival in the desert, we change from our 4×4 to ride Camels after we meet our Camelman. Our Camel trekking excursion starts sometime in the afternoon to catch the sunset view on the top of the dunes. Afterward, we continue our Camel tour to our luxury desert camp for dinner and overnight under the tents in the heart of the dunes. The camp is fully prepared with private showers and toilets.
- Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Tinghir – Dades Valley.
Our Fes Marrakech desert trip’s second day will start with an amazing view of the sunrise before we have breakfast in the camp restaurant.
Once everyone is ready for the day tour departure, we will drive towards the city of Erfoud which is known as “The Fossil and Date Capital”. Upon arrival at this small city, we might take a chance to visit one of the Fossil and Marble workshops for a while before we continue our road trip. The next stop will be at Todra Gorge which is one of the famous Canyons with an altitude of 300 meters in Tinghir region.
We might want to go for a fresh walk under this Gorge for a while. Afterward, we drive towards the Valley of Dades where we can see the amazing natural monument named “Monkey Toes Rocks”. In a while, our Desert tour journey 2nd day finishes in our accommodation in Dades Valley.
- Day 3: Dades Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech.
After having breakfast, we will depart for the 3rd day of our Fes to Marrakech desert tour by driving from Dades Valley towards the Rose Valley, passing by the Rose Capital of Kalaat Mgouna, and joining Skoura Valley. Our tour driver will give us some time to see the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate, then continue our trip towards Ait Benhaddou which is one of the famous Kasbah in the area of Ouarzazate. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one of the UNESCO heritage located in the foothills on the southern slopes. Here, our desert tour private driver or guide will accompany us on a walking visit to discover this Heritage and walk in its alleys and stairs. After a while, we return for lunch in one of the local restaurants near the Kasbah.
Sometime in the afternoon, our trip continues to Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas mountains of Tizi N Tichka. As soon as we arrive in Marrakech, our driver will drop us at our location or accommodation where our 3 days from Fes to Marrakech desert trip finishes.
