During our 6-day private tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we will travel along the Rif mountains to the blue pearl of Morocco “Chefchaouen. We will also drive to Fes to discover the cultural city, then continue towards the desert dunes of Merzouga. Here, we can have an amazing desert 4WD excursion with a desert camel ride in the dunes to see the great sunset. After, we can ride back camels to our camp for a night under the luxury camp. Our desert tour continues to visit the Gorges of Todra and the valley of Thousand Kasbahs. We won’t miss a visit to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah and then drive to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountains....

6 Days Tangier to Marrakech desert trip description:
Day 1: Tangier – Tetaouen – Chefchaouen.
Tangier to Marrakech 6 day tour departure: According to our tour departure time, our English-speaking driver will come to meet us and then depart for our 6 days Tangier to Marrakech desert tour by traveling from Tangier towards the blue city of Chefchaouen passing by the city of Tetaouen and the Rif mountains. Upon arrival, we will go on a guided visit to discover the blue and white alleys of Chefchaouen with its fabulous stairs. We will also enjoy a Moroccan delicious lunch in one of the Blue City traditional restaurants. Afterward, we will drive to our Riad to check in for our rooms. The rest of the day is free to walk in Chefchaouen on your own.
Day 2: Chefchaouen- Volibilis (Roman ruins) – Meknes – Fes.
Once we have breakfast, we will travel to Fes by driving through the Rif mountains. Our next stop will be at the Roman ruins of Volubilis which is a partly excavated Berber city in Morocco situated near the city of Meknes. According to your choice, we can go on a guided visit to visit Volubilis. After a while, we will drive to Meknes where we will go for a guided visit to discover the city. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Fes, the first Imperial city of Morocco. Upon our arrival, we will check in for our Riad rooms. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Medalt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert
Once we have breakfast, we’ll start our 3rd-day tour by driving from Fes towards the city of Ifrane and Azrou Cedar forest. Here, we can take a short stop to see the Barbarian Apes in this area. Afterward, we will travel towards the Middle Mountains with great views of its villages. Crossing the Middle Atlas mountains to approach the Valley of Ziz. According to the time, we can take a short stop at the panoramic spot of the Valley to enjoy the amazing views of its palm trees. After a while, we’ll continue to Erfoud Town “The Fossil Capital”. Here, we can visit one of the fossil workshops to discover the process of how they make tables from marble and fossils. After a while, we will continue to the desert dunes of Merzouga. Upon our arrival, we will check in for our rooms in our Moroccan traditional Riad.
Day 4: Private Merzouga Desert excursion.
Our Merzouga Desert 4×4 excursion starts after breakfast. We will drive along the Erg Chebbi, a great extension of a sandy desert, where we can find the big dunes of Morocco at 250 meters altitude. We take the road of ‘Rally Dakar’ to Tissardmin Oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area. Our off-road trip continues to see a nomad settlement and learn their secrets and manners before we drive to the black people’s village of Khamlia. At this village, we will visit one of their Gnawa music school and enjoy a dance time with mint tea. Afterward, we will continue to a Berber restaurant to have Berber Pizza for lunch. Once we have our lunch, we will dive into the hotel/riad to get ready for our Camel trekking experience to the top of the dunes where we will see the amazing sunset. We then return with camels to our luxury desert camp overnight under the tents. The camp is fully prepared with a private toilet and shower
Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Dades Gorge.
According to your choice, we can wake up earlier in the morning to see an amazing sunrise overnight in the dunes. After breakfast, we will travel from the desert dunes of Merzouga to the city of Erfoud where we will visit one of the fossils workshops. Our desert trip continues to Todra Gorge, a Canyons of 300 M altitude. After some time, we will drive to Dades Valley and Dades Gorge where we will check in for our rooms in Moroccan Riad. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Dades Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech.
Today, we’ll travel to Marrakech by driving towards the Rose Valley and Ouarzazate city “The Hollywood of Africa”. Here, we will take a short stop to take some photos of Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, we will continue to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah “one of the UNESCO heritage located in the foothills on the southern slopes”. Here, our driver or guide will accompany us on a walking visit to this breathtaking Kasbah, walking in its alleys and stairs and rocks. After a while, we will return for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
Once we have lunch, we’ll continue our trip to Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas mountains of Tizi N Tichka willing to approach Marrakech. As soon as we arrive in Marrakech, we will accompany you to your accommodation where our 6 days private tour from Tangier to Marrakech comes to the end.
