1ˢᵗ day: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Middle Atlas – Midelt (4–5 hours drive)

To begin with, your Desert tour driver will pick you up at your accommodation in Fes at 8:00 am. We’ll depart to the picturesque town of Ifrane, often called “The Switzerland of Morocco” for its charming architecture and lush greenery. After a relaxing coffee break, we’ll continue toward the Middle Atlas, where you’ll see the famous Barbary Apes in the Cedar Forest and explore the town of Azrou. Following that, we’ll drive to Midelt, the “Apple Capital” of Morocco. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our accommodation for the night, and enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel, wrapping up an exciting day of exploration.

2ⁿᵈ day: Midelt – Valley of Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert (5–6 hours drive)

After breakfast, we start the 2nd day of our Morocco desert tour by heading toward the Valley of Ziz. The drive through the last part of the Middle Atlas offers scenic views and photo opportunities. When we arrive at Ziz, we’ll stop to take in the panoramic landscapes before continuing to Erfoud. The capital of dates and fossils. Here, you can visit a local fossil workshop before proceeding to the Merzouga Desert. Meanwhile, you’ll experience the thrill of off-road travel as we make our way to the famous Merzouga desert. Upon arrival at our desert accommodation, we’ll check in for the night. Dinner and breakfast are included, giving you the perfect opportunity to unwind and immerse yourself in the tranquil desert atmosphere.

3ʳᵈ day: Desert 4×4 Excursion (Minimal drive)

Following breakfast, we dedicate the day to exploring the unique landscapes and culture of Morocco Desert. We begin with a private excursion along the off-road routes of the Dakar Rally. Then, the picturesque Yasmina Lake to capture panoramic shots of the dunes. Afterward, explore the fascinating fossil quarries before heading to a nomad family settlement to experience their traditional Bedouin lifestyle. In addition, we visit the village of Khamlia, home to a vibrant Black community originally from Sudan and Mali. Here, you’ll enjoy a performance of Gnawa music, a traditional style of Moroccan folk music, accompanied by dance. For lunch, we’ll sample the region’s famous Berber pizza. Following that, we return to your accommodation in Merzouga to prepare for a camel trek. Our skilled camel guide will lead you on a journey to watch the sunset over the dunes before heading to a luxury desert camp. There, you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night under the stars. Also offering amenities like a restaurant, hot shower, and private toilet.

4ᵗʰ day: Merzouga Desert Dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley (5–6 hours drive)

We recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise before enjoying a hearty breakfast in the camp. Afterward, we head to Rissani, an ancient city known as the economic hub for camel caravans. From there, we head to Todra Gorge, a stunning canyon that rises 300 meters above the ground. Following that, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its distinctive rock formations, including the famous “Monkey Toes.” We’ll make a stop for photos and exploration before heading to our accommodation for the night. Dinner and breakfast are included, ensuring you’re energized for the next leg of our Fes Marrakech Desert tour.

5ᵗʰ day: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech (7–8 hours drive)

On the final day of our 5-day Morocco Itinerary from Fes to Marrakech, we’ll visit Dades Gorge. This panoramic canyon known for its incredible views. Then, we’ll travel through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant roses and traditional kasbahs. Afterward, we’ll make our way to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,”. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the local cinema studios. Moreover, many Western movies have been filmed, making it an exciting stop. From Ouarzazate, we continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a stunning kasbah built into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. After exploring, we’ll enjoy lunch before traveling through the High Atlas mountains to Marrakech. Finally, upon arrival in Marrakech, our driver will take you to your accommodation, bringing this remarkable 5-day desert tour to a close.
