To begin with, we make our first stop in Ifrane, often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, for its alpine-style architecture and pristine landscapes. This picturesque town offers a peaceful ambiance and stunning views.
Next, we’ll proceed to Azrou, a city rich in history and culture. Here, you’ll explore its fascinating heritage and take in the charm of its surroundings.
Following that, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest, a natural haven where you can see the playful Barbary Apes in their natural habitat. It’s an excellent opportunity to connect with nature and capture memorable photos.
Afterward, we’ll continue our journey to Midelt, the Apple capital of Morocco. Once we arrive, we’ll check into our accommodation, where a delicious dinner will be served, marking the perfect end to an exciting day of exploration.

3ʳᵈ day: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert (5–6 hours drive)

After breakfast, we will embark on the 3rd day of our Morocco desert tour, departing from Midelt and heading toward the awe-inspiring Sahara desert dunes of Merzouga.
To begin with, our journey takes us through the magnificent Middle Atlas Mountains, where we’ll pause at a scenic viewpoint. This is a perfect spot to admire the rolling hills, rugged landscapes, and verdant valleys that define this region.
Next, as we descend from the mountains, we’ll arrive at the Palm Grove of Ziz, a remarkable oasis bursting with life amidst the arid terrain. Here, we’ll take a break at a panoramic viewpoint, capturing stunning photos of the lush palm trees framed by the dramatic desert backdrop.
Afterward, we’ll continue our drive to Merzouga, home to the towering dunes of the Sahara Desert. The sight of the golden sands stretching endlessly is genuinely breathtaking.
Upon arrival, you’ll check into our accommodation and take some time to unwind. Whether you choose to walk along the dunes or soak in the tranquil surroundings, the magical ambiance of Merzouga promises an unforgettable evening under the starlit sky. Dinner will be served to complete this enchanting day.

4ᵗʰ day: Merzouga Sahara Desert Excursion (Minimal drive)

We’ll embark on an exciting Merzouga desert tour day in the morning, exploring the magnificent Sahara. Our adventure begins with a scenic drive along the iconic dunes that define the region. We’ll marvel at the towering 250-meter-high dunes, capturing stunning views of this remarkable landscape.
Next, we follow the off-road path of the Rally Dakar, leading us to the tranquil Tissardmin Oasis, where fossil quarries offer a glimpse into the geological history of Morocco. Continuing our itinerary, we’ll visit a nomad family to experience their hospitality and gain insight into their traditional way of life.
Later, we head to the village of Khamlia, celebrated for its cultural heritage and vibrant Gnawa music. Here, you’ll enjoy a lively performance of rhythmic music and dance while sipping refreshing mint tea. After this artistic immersion, you’ll savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant featuring the region’s authentic flavors.
We will return to our accommodation in the afternoon to prepare for a magical camel trekking tour. Guided by an experienced camel handler, we’ll ride into the heart of the golden dunes, pausing to witness a mesmerizing sunset. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we will continue to our luxury desert camp. The camp offers modern comforts, including private hot showers and toilets in each tent. 5ᵗʰ day: Merzouga Desert to Fes (6–7 hours drive)

After breakfast, we set off on the final leg of our 5-day Morocco Desert Tour, returning to Fes. The route takes us through the black desert fields dotted with Acacia trees, showcasing the region’s unique landscapes.
Upon arrival in Fes, our driver will drop you off at our accommodation. We mark the end of this extraordinary journey from Fes to Merzouga and back there. This tour leaves lasting memories of Morocco’s captivating beauty, culture, and hospitality.
