Ait Benhaddou Excursion Itinerary

Morning: Departure from Our Accommodation

• We begin the day with an early pick-up from our accommodation in Marrakech or Ouarzazate.
• As we travel through the High Atlas Mountains, we’ll cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters).
• Along the way, we’ll stop for photos at stunning viewpoints and charming Berber villages.

Midday: Explore Ait Benhaddou

• Upon arrival at Ait Benhaddou, we’ll step back in time as we explore this historic site.
• Together, we’ll walk through its narrow alleys, visit mud-brick kasbahs, and climb to the top for incredible views of the surrounding landscape.
• Our guide will share fascinating stories about the ksar’s history and its role as a backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Lunch: Traditional Moroccan Meal

• We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant, savoring Moroccan dishes like tagine, couscous, and freshly baked bread.

Afternoon: Return Journey

• On our way back, we’ll marvel at the changing landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains.
• If time permits, we’ll make a stop in Ouarzazate, where we can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or the famous Atlas Film Studios.

Evening: Return to Our Accommodation

• We’ll conclude the day with a drop-off at our accommodation, reflecting on the beauty and history of Ait Benhaddou.
