We begin our 6 day desert tour from Fes, and head to the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” where we can enjoy its unique charm. Next, we visit the Cedar Forest in Azrou, home to the playful Barbary macaques. Continuing through picturesque landscapes, we arrive in Midelt, a quiet town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Here, we relax and enjoy dinner before our first overnight stay.

2ⁿᵈ day: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara Desert (5 hours driving)

After breakfast, we admire the dramatic mountain scenery and cross the impressive Tizi N’Talghemt Pass. As we head south, we stop to marvel at the lush Ziz Valley, filled with palm groves and ancient ksars. By the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. A camel caravan awaits us for an unforgettable trek through the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. We enjoy dinner and stargaze in a luxury desert camp, making this a highlight of our Sahara Tour.

3ʳᵈ day: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges (4 hours driving)

4ᵗʰ day: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate (4 hours driving)

Today, we journey through the scenic Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We pause to admire the unusual Monkey Fingers rock formations and explore traditional Berber villages. Traveling along the famous Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, we make our way to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Here, we visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah before settling into our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

5ᵗʰ day: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech (5 hours driving)

Our day begins with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable example of traditional Moroccan architecture. From here, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass, with breathtaking views of valleys and villages along the way. By evening, we reach vibrant Marrakech, where we relax and prepare for the next day of exploration.

6ᵗʰ day: Marrakech City Tour (Minimal driving)

On our final day, we explore the best of Marrakech, a highlight of any Morocco itinerary. We visit iconic landmarks such as Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the serene Majorelle Gardens. Wandering through the colorful souks and the historic medina, we immerse ourselves in the city’s rich culture and history.
