1ˢᵗ day: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Skoura Oasis – Rose Valley – Dades Valley

We begin our 4 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes with a morning pick-up from your accommodation or the airport. Traveling through the High Atlas Mountains, we climb to an altitude of 2,600 meters via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we visit an Argan oil cooperative to learn about the traditional methods used to create this renowned Moroccan product.
After a scenic 3-hour drive, we arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This ancient fortified village, once a caravan stop on the trade route to Marrakech, is known for its striking earthen architecture and cinematic history. We’ll enjoy a guided tour to explore its fascinating history, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
Continuing our journey, we pass through Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its film studios and iconic movie sets. In the Skoura Oasis, we’ll admire its vast palm groves and the 17th-century Amridil Kasbah. We then drive through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant rosewater and vibrant annual festival in May. Finally, we arrive at the Dades Valley, where we’ll be welcomed into a charming riad. We’ll enjoy mint tea, a delicious dinner, and an overnight stay.

2ⁿᵈ day: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we explore the dramatic Dades Gorge, known for its stunning landscapes and unique Monkey Toes rock formations. Then, we travel to Tinghir, a town surrounded by lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. In the Todra Gorge, we’ll take a short walk along the base of towering canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters.
Our journey continues to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil workshops and lively markets. If time permits, we’ll visit a fossil museum to learn about the region’s prehistoric treasures. From Erfoud, we head to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
Here, we prepare for an extraordinary camel trekking experience into the Erg Chebbi dunes, some of which rise as high as 150 meters. After enjoying a mesmerizing sunset atop the dunes, we arrive at our luxury desert camp. The evening includes a hearty dinner under the stars, traditional drumming around a campfire, and a restful night in a fully equipped tent with air conditioning, private facilities, and a hot shower.

3ʳᵈ day: Merzouga 4×4 Excursion and Camel Trekking

We start our day with breakfast before embarking on a 4×4 excursion to discover the Sahara Desert’s hidden gems. Our adventure takes us to the Tissardmin Oasis, where we’ll learn about the region’s natural springs and fossilized landscapes. We also visit a nomadic family settlement to gain insight into their traditional way of life.
Next, we head to Khamlia village, where the local Gnawa community treats us to a captivating performance of their music, paired with mint tea. Afterward, we savor a traditional Berber lunch.
In the afternoon, we embark on another camel trek to witness the sunset over the dunes. Returning to our luxury camp, we’ll enjoy an evening of cultural entertainment, drumming, and stargazing in the serene desert.

4ᵗʰ day: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Palm Grove – Atlas Mountains – Fes

We wake early to watch the sun rise over the golden dunes, a magical experience that will remain in our memories. After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and travel through the lush Ziz Palm Grove, which offers breathtaking views of date palms stretching as far as the eye can see.
Our route takes us through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at Midelt, a town famous for its apple orchards and vibrant local markets. We continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where we can see playful Barbary apes and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

After a lunch break, we pass through Ifrane, nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and pristine environment. Finally, we arrive in Fes, where our driver will escort you to your accommodation, concluding our incredible 4 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes.
