1ˢᵗ Day: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Our 8 days desert tour begins in Casablanca with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque. This architectural masterpiece is perched on the Atlantic coastline and features intricate tilework and a towering minaret. It is one of the largest mosques in the world. Next, we travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. In Rabat, we explore the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a symbol of Moroccan heritage, and the unfinished Hassan Tower. We also visit the peaceful Oudaya Kasbah, which offers stunning views of the Bou Regreg River. By evening, we arrive in Chefchaouen, Morocco’s “Blue Pearl”. The town’s blue-washed streets and serene ambiance will enchant you.

2ⁿᵈ Day: Chefchaouen City Tour – Fes

After breakfast, we explore Chefchaouen’s charming streets, painted in vibrant shades of blue. Utta Hammam Square, located in the heart of the town, is perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere. This town is also famous for its artisanal crafts, such as handwoven textiles and pottery. After enjoying lunch, we travel through the scenic Rif Mountains. Along the way, we pass rolling hills and quaint villages. By evening, we reach Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, and settle into a traditional riad.

3ʳᵈ Day: Fes City Tour

Day three is dedicated to exploring Fes, a city filled with history and culture. We begin with a visit to the ancient Medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This Medina is one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas. Next, we visit the Karaouyine Mosque, known as the oldest continuously operating university in the world. We also explore the Madrasa Bou Inania, which features intricate wood and tile work. Other highlights include the Chouara Tanneries and the Artisan Quarters. After an enriching day, we return to our riad for dinner and rest.

4ᵗʰ Day: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Merzouga Desert

We head south after breakfast, with our first stop in Ifrane. Known as “Morocco’s Switzerland,” Ifrane impresses with its European-inspired architecture and clean streets. Next, we visit the Azrou Cedar Forest, where we can spot playful Barbary Apes. We then cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the dramatic landscapes. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga and embark on a camel trek. As the sun sets, the Sahara desert transforms into a magical golden landscape. Our day concludes at a luxury desert camp, complete with modern amenities and a starry sky.

5ᵗʰ Day: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

We wake early to witness the beauty of a desert sunrise. After breakfast, we head to Erfoud, a town known for its fossil industry and as a gateway to the Sahara. Our journey continues to the Todra Gorge, a stunning canyon with towering cliffs that reach 300 meters high. Finally, we arrive in the Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations known as “Monkey Toes.” We end the day with a relaxing stay at a local accommodation.

6ᵗʰ Day: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Our journey takes us through the picturesque Rose Valley, known for its fragrant rose fields and traditional Kasbahs. We then stop in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, we visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Cinema Studios, where many famous movies were filmed. Next, we explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its earthen architecture. After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. By evening, we arrive in Marrakech and check into a charming riad.

7ᵗʰ Day: Marrakech City Tour

Marrakech, the “Red City,” is vibrant and full of life. We visit the Bahia Palace, with its exquisite gardens and ornate interiors, and the Koutoubia Mosque, an iconic Almohad architectural masterpiece. We also explore the Saadian Tombs, hidden for centuries and now showcasing their intricate carvings. In the afternoon, we stroll through the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square, where performers, food stalls, and souks create a lively atmosphere. To end the day, we visit the serene Majorelle and Menara Gardens. Dinner and relaxation await us at the riad.

8ᵗʰ Day: Marrakech – Casablanca

On the final day of our 8 Days Tour from Casablanca, we drive back to Casablanca. This concludes our unforgettable Morocco Desert Trip itinerary. This journey has offered a blend of rich culture, stunning landscapes, and unique experiences that will stay with you forever.
