1st Day: Marrakech > High Atlas > Ait Benhaddou > Rose Valley > Dades Valley.

5-Day Marrakech to Sahara Desert Tour Itinerary:
After breakfast, we begin the first day of your Morocco desert trip from Marrakech. On the way to the stunning High Atlas mountains and Tizi N Tichka pass at 2600 meters high.
After a 3-hour drive, we arrive at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage, followed by a guided visit. After exploring the kasbah, we’ll take a lunch break at a local restaurant before continuing our itinerary.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to the picturesque Skoura Valley to visit the Kasbah of Amridil. As we progress on our journey, we’ll reach the Valley of the Rose and join the Valley of Dades. Here, you’ll visit the Monkey Toes Rock formation, and Settle in for the night in a Moroccan riad.
2nd Day: Dades Gorge > Todra Gorge > Erfoud > Sahara desert dunes.
Desert Itinerary from Marrakech Day 2
Breakfast begins the second day of your Sahara desert tour. First, the itinerary starts with a drive further into the Valley to visit Dades Gorge. Afterward, we head to Todra Valley and Todra Gorge. It is a famous canyon in the Valley boasting an impressive altitude of 300 meters.
In Addition, you will enjoy a leisurely walk under the canyon and the sounds of the river for a while. After some time, we continue towards the Southeast region of Morocco. When we arrive at Erfoud, known as the Fossil capital, we stop for a lunch break before departure.
After lunch, we visit a Fossil workshop with an expert fossilist, then continue to Merzouga Desert. Within a 45-minute drive, we arrive at Merzouga Sahara Desert dunes and stop to take some panoramic photos. Later, we head to your Sahara Desert hotel to settle in for the night with dinner and breakfast.
3rd Day: Sahara Desert exucrion - Camel trekking.
Morocco Sahara Tour Day 3
After you enjoy breakfast, we begin the Sahara Desert excursion with a scenic drive along the stunning dunes. These vast, sandy dunes rise to an impressive altitude of 250 meters, offering breathtaking views. Moreover, we follow the off-road path of the famous Rally Dakar to visit the serene Tissardmin oasis.
The journey continues to a nomadic family, where we gain insight into their traditional lifestyle and capture memorable photos. Afterward, we head to Khamlia, a village where you can experience the soulful rhythms of local Gnawa music. While sipping a refreshing glass of mint tea, enjoy the performers’ lively dance in their traditional white attire.
For lunch, we stop at a local restaurant in Khamlia, where you can savor Berber Pizza, a signature dish of desert cuisine. However, the adventure doesn’t end there. After lunch, we return to your accommodation to prepare for an unforgettable camel trekking experience.
Your camel caravan, led by an experienced camel man, will guide us to the top of the dunes just in time to watch the magical sunset. Finally, the journey concludes with a camel trek to our luxury desert camp, nestled in the heart of the dunes.
At the camp, enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars and relax in your fully-equipped tent, complete with a private toilet, hot shower, and air conditioning. Breakfast is included the following morning to complete your incredible Sahara desert experience.
4th Day: Sahara Desert > Rissani > Draa Valley > Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we begin our Morocco Desert itinerary with an exciting drive leaving the dunes behind and heading to Rissani. Here, you can explore the lively spices souk, which offers a glimpse into the region’s vibrant trade culture.
Moreover, we continue our journey toward Alnif, passing picturesque fields of Acacia trees and traditional Berber villages along the way. However, the adventure doesn’t end there. Following the itinerary, we make our way to the lush Draa Valley, where we pause to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Afterward, we drive through the scenic Ait Saouen pass, offering stunning views of Morocco’s diverse landscape, before reaching Ouarzazate. Upon arrival, we visit the historic Kasbah of Taourirt, a remarkable example of Morocco’s architectural heritage. Amazing small group 4-day trip from Fes to Marrakech
Our small group had a great experience on a 4-day, 3-night trip from Fes to Marrakech. Omar was an amazing guide who spoke great English and was great at telling us about the areas we visited. He was very accommodating to any pace or sights that his guests wanted to see. The Desert adventure was so fun, and I enjoyed it all. I also loved the camp because it has AC and hot showers.

The next day, the excursion around the Sahara improved when we joined Said and Ibrahim for the excursion. Said was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making every stop along the journey so much more enjoyable.
