1ˢᵗ day: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

We begin our 6 days desert tour from Marrakech airport or your accommodation. Then head to the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we’ll stop at traditional Berber villages and enjoy panoramic views of the mountains. Our first major destination is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a stunning fortified village that has served as the backdrop for many famous films. Continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” we’ll explore the Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. We end the day with an overnight stay in Ouarzazate, a city rich in cinematic and cultural history.

2ⁿᵈ day: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora

On the second day, we journey through the lush Draa Valley, a region famous for its vast palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and vibrant oases. The 4th day is dedicated to experiencing the true essence of the Sahara Desert. We’ll start the day by visiting the Tisserdmin oasis, a tranquil spot surrounded by lush vegetation. From there, we’ll explore fossil quarries and the historic Mifiss eyeliner mines, gaining insights into the region’s geology and history. We’ll have the unique opportunity to visit a nomad family, learning about their traditional way of life and enjoying their warm hospitality. Next, we’ll head to Khamlia village, where we’ll experience the vibrant Gnaoua music and visit the famous Gnaoua house. For lunch, we’ll savor Berber pizza, a delicious local specialty that perfectly complements our desert adventure. In the late afternoon, we’ll embark on a camel trek across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, marveling at the endless expanse of golden sand and witnessing a breathtaking sunset. Our journey leads us to a luxury desert camp, where we’ll be welcomed with traditional Berber hospitality.
