Day 1: Tangier – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

We kick off our 10-day adventure by meeting our guide at Tangier Airport. Then, we will travel towards Chefchaouen, taking the scenic route through the Rif Mountains. Along the way, we will have multiple stops to capture stunning panoramic views. Soon, we will arrive in Chefchaouen, known as the “Blue Pearl.” After settling into our riad, we can spend the afternoon exploring this picturesque city. We’ll enjoy a restful night in our charming riad located in the old medina.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After enjoying a traditional breakfast, we leave the blue city of Chefchaouen. As we pass through the lush landscapes of the Rif Mountains, we make our way to Volubilis, a captivating ancient Roman site. This Berber city, often hailed as the capital of Mauretania, is filled with historical significance. After exploring the ruins, we’ll head to Meknes for lunch and a chance to delve into its rich culture. Finally, we will proceed to Fes, where we will spend the night in the heart of the old city.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing (Cultural Tour with Local Guide)

Today, we will devote around six hours to exploring the vibrant city of Fes with the assistance of a local guide. Our journey begins by car, where we will visit the royal palace, the Jewish quarter, and a local ceramic factory. Then, we will immerse ourselves in the medina, visiting tanneries, the Bou Anania Medersa, and the impressive Karaouine mosque. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the new medina and watch the sun set over the old city.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will embark on our journey towards the Sahara Desert. We will travel through the stunning Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland.” Here, we can marvel at its unique architecture. Before reaching Merzouga, we’ll pause to admire the lush palm groves that dot the landscape.

Day 5: Merzouga (Exploring the Sahara Desert)

After a hearty breakfast, we will set out to explore the vast Sahara Desert. We will discover ancient irrigation systems that have been in use for over a century. Our next stop will be Khamlia, where we will immerse ourselves in Gnaoua music and culture. Later, we will savor a traditional “Berber pizza” prepared by a local family. In the afternoon, we will return to our riad, allowing time for personal exploration of the village.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We will wake early to witness a stunning desert sunrise before enjoying breakfast at our hotel. Next, we’ll drive through Rissani, an historic caravan stop, and, if we’re lucky, visit the traditional market. We will then head to Todra Gorges, an ideal spot for a picturesque picnic. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we’ll arrive at Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Our first major stop will be Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its striking beauty and cinematic history. We’ll then cross the Tizi n Tichka pass, reaching Marrakech for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Marrakech (City Tour with Local Guide)

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the serene Majorelle Garden and Menara Garden before returning to our riad for a relaxing evening.

Day 9: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
